The day I got accused of trying to incite a riot over the death of Earl McNeil.

NBC 7 is clearly looking for click-bait. They heard the cries of a low income community calling for the same type of change that happened in the city council of Ferguson, Missouri, and interpreted it as "We're gonna burn buildings".

Breaking News: We've never planned to burn down buildings; we didn't burn any buildings when Alfred Olango was first murdered in El Cajon, and we're not trying to burn down any buildings now. We're trying to burn down the metaphorical establishment that has led to decades of oppression in such cities as Ferguson and National City. Y'all always fucking trippin!

Who did these reporters talk to? How did they interpret our call for organizations from across rhe nation to respond as "networking with national Black Lives Matter groups to stage riots in the streets." Was is Tasha's warning that National City will end up like another Ferguson? You know more happened in Ferguson than rioting, right? Real changes happened.

The idea that the Ferguson protests taught activists about the importance of voting out old and out of touch politicians must have put the fear of god into National City officials. For a trusted news station to come out with a lie like this is despicable and should be retracted. The idiotic idea that a small group of protesters can physically fight off the whole government with limited support is so stupid, that we already had ridiculous ideas of how to make fun of it for entertainment purposes.

When we talk about making change, we're talking about making that "Ferguson" change. That means a new city policy on everything from body worn cameras to civilian review boards. An example would be this link you can click on.

NBC 7's lie will reach more people than the truth
To quote the "Stltoday.com" (St. Louis Post-Dispatch), "If anything, the unrest sparked by Brown’s death in August 2014 has revealed that a declaration of discontent — if it’s done forcefully enough — can become impossible to ignore." This is our intention, except instead of "staging riots", like NBC 7 and NCPD seem to want us to do, we're shutting down their normal order of business.

In the end, Ferguson got a chance to start all over. That is the simple and basic goal, your ideas of us starting a bloody revolution are stupid. If you've paid attention to the town halls, you'll see that most of us are educators and teachers. Our resistance has been meet with silence and force. The crowds have done a better job at deescalation than the police have. NCPD seem to like to push and grab people like an abusive spouse would.

Shame of NBC 7 for focusing more on bullshit click-batable stuff than on real issues. We're trying to address the death of Earl McNeil, y'all trying to fearmonger. Looks like y'all are in need of change too.

-As much as we wish to like the media, we wont tolerate such bullshit in the future.
